Swedish Swedish massage relaxes muscles through pressure applied to the muscles and joints with soothing strokes returning blood to the heart. This increases oxygen flow and releases toxins built up in the muscles. Trigger Point
Trigger Point massage works the different muscles layers individually. The therapist works surface muscles, connective tissues and deeper ligaments. This type of massage is similar to acupuncture, where pressure is placed on certain points of the body. Hot Stone Hot stone massage uses smooth, heated stone to sooth and relax your muscles. The stones are usually volcanic because of their ability to absorb heat well. The therapist may place smaller stones around your body and use larger ones to massage you. Myofascial Release Myofascial Release stretches the myofascial unit, a combination of muscles and the fascia, a thin layer of tissue covering every muscle. When a muscle is injured or strained, the fascia around it tightens. By strechting both areas together, the therapist relieves soreness in the muscle and repairs the tightened fascia. Manual Lymph Drainage MLD decongests the loose connective tissue by stimulating the uptake volume of the lymphatic system from 20-50%. The therapist performs a very light pumping and stretching of the skin in the direction of the lymph flow. For more information visit: www.MLDwithAngelia.com. |
supplementation, then I started my own nutrition business in 1998. In the beginning I was a massage client, then as time passed I became an ammature, practicing self massage and informal massage to friends and family, and now as professional. Now I incorporate both nutrition and massage, just as my first therapist did.
